Thanks to the Opus Ramp Team!

Last fall, we partnered with Opus to launch a second Ramp Team! This Team built their first ramp on October 24th and 25th for a woman in Richfield who recently suffered a stroke. The Opus Ramp Team is currently composed of nine retired Opus corporation employees, who served in a variety of positions, including superintendents, field staff, architects and sales and administrative supervisors. Together, this Team has over 250 years of construction-related experience!

Craig Larson, the Opus Ramp Team Lead, is very excited about getting the Opus Team up and running. He looks forward to having even more Opus retirees join the Team and some good-natured competition between the new Opus Ramp Team and our Honeywell Ramp Team in the coming years.

University of Minnesota Law School Volunteers Give Back

We would like to send a special shout out to the faculty and students from the University of Minnesota Law School who dedicated part of their busy Saturday to help us in our warehouse. They spent the morning building storage systems and sorting and cleaning. They volunteered as part of a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event, and we are very grateful for their hard work!

Welcome Chris!

We are thrilled to welcome Chris Ryan to the Rebuilding Together Twin Cities Team! Chris is serving a year with our organization through the Rebuilding Together CapacityCorps program. He has extensive experience and expertise in the construction industry, including working for 25 years as a builder.

Chris said, “Throughout my life I have been involved with volunteer opportunities, and I cherish the small contributions that I have made. My current situation provides the time and financial flexibility to make a full-time commitment. CapacityCorps looks like the perfect place to do just that.”

In his spare time, Chris enjoys cycling, kayaking, and markets. Chris has already demonstrated compassion and commitment to our work to help our neighbors in need, and we are excited to have him on our team!
