Meet our Construction Workforce Training Collaborative Instructor

We are preparing to kick-off our Construction Workforce Training Collaborative, an innovative public-private collaborative with Tree Trust, Association of Minority Contractors, and Housing First Minnesota that will deliver entry-level construction training to underserved and minority youth.  This new initiative is led by Instructor Chris Reiss, who will train participants in construction methods and supervise them as they use their experience in the field completing home repairs. Chris is a 38-year veteran of the commercial audiovisual industry. He has been involved for many years with rehab and restoration projects in many communities impacted by storms and flooding including New Orleans, Chicago, Houston, Guatemala and Biloxi.  We are excited to have Chris on our Team and to launch our Construction Workforce Training Collaborative!

Meet our New AmeriCorps Member

Please help us welcome the newest member of our Team – AmeriCorps member Julia Isberner!  Julia has a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College and a variety of experience with nonprofit organizations.  Julia will be serving with our organization for a year through the AmeriCorps CapacityCorps program.  She will focus on our Safe at Home program, which provides accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners who are seniors or are living with a disability. We are thrilled to have her enthusiasm and experience as we work to help our neighbors in need live in safe and healthy homes!
