Apply to receive assistance through one of our programs.

Rebuilding Together Minnesota relies on the hard work of skilled contractors, volunteers, along with donated supplies, materials and tools to provide our services at no cost to qualified homeowners.

We offer three supportive programs.

Safe at Home: makes critical home safety repairs and supportive fall prevention modifications for older adults and those living with a disability so that they can continue to live in safety and independence in their own homes. Accessible ramps into and out of the home are a signature deliverable of this program.

Home Repair: makes critical repairs that best support a family’s needs. This can include things like plumbing or electrical repairs, as well as our roof replacement program. We’ve been able to expand our offerings to include repairs for manufactured homes.

Community Revitalization: we support local nonprofits and community resources with needed repairs and modifications to improve their ability to impact the communities we serve.

For more information about our programs and to download an application, select one of the programs below.

Our application process includes three steps before we’re able to start repairs.

1) Submit an Application – this information will support us in determining if you qualify for one of our existing programs. The criteria changes year to year, so it’s important to include as much information as you can.
2) Applicant Interview – once your application is received, it is reviewed by staff who will be in touch for more details including completing all documentation required for the program.
3) Site Visit – once your interview is complete and documents are received, we’ll set up a time to visit your home to assess the kind of repairs we can offer, and begin to draft a timeline for repair.

Provided all goes well, these three steps can take up to six months to complete. Work typically takes another six months to be set with contractors, volunteers, and to pull appropriate permits. Unfortunately, we are unable to support emergency repairs at this time.

Please note that it is our goal to support as many people in need of services as possible. Our ability to provide services is dependent on funding. We are unable to provide emergency repairs, and there are repairs that we are unable to complete due to funding, available labor, and complexity of the project.

If you have questions or would like an application mailed to you, please email us at homeowners@rtmn.org or call us at 651-776-4273.
